The compassio GmbH & Co. KG, which was founded in 2005, has been part of the SCHÖNES LEBEN Group since 1 February 2018. The headquarters of compassio is located in Ulm/Danube. The nursing facilities are in Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg, Rhineland-Palatinate and Schleswig-Holstein. The range of services includes long-term care, short-term care, adult day care, outpatient care and other options. Assisted living services are available at select locations. The core competence of compassio is the care and nursing services provided to people with dementia. The Gut Köttenich Group has been providing high-quality care and nursing services in the area between Aachen and Cologne and in the Euregio since the year 2000. It all began at “Gut Köttenich” in Aldenhoven, a historical, previously neglected former estate manor belonging to the Cologne Cathedral Chapter. Since then, it has been restored and refurbished in an exemplary manner and is now a residence for the elderly and people with disabilities who are no longer able to look after themselves at home. The Gut Köttenich Group has grown steadily and today provides care and support for more than 1,000 senior citizens. The Mediko Group, based in Winsen (Aller), plans, builds and operates senior citizen residences, adult day care centers and barrier-free apartments in North Rhine-Westphalia, Lower Saxony and Hamburg. The range of services includes all levels of inpatient care, specialized care, palliative care, short-term and respite care, adult day care and residential living with optional services. The senior citizens’ residences, with the look and feel of a hotel, are characterized by their exclusive interior and exterior design as well as friendly, modern living areas suited for senior citizens. The “open residence” concept promotes social contact between the residents and the local community. At the same time Mediko offers an attractive schedule of events and leisure activities to ensure that residents feel completely at home.
