Ulm, 15 November 2018 – The Schönes Leben Group, together with its subsidiary compassio, has acquired the care specialist Gut Köttenich Group – currently an operator of 14 nursing facilities at eleven locations in North Rhine-Westphalia.
„Schönes Leben“ is now expanding in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany’s most populous region with the acquisition of the Southern German care specialist compassio in December 2017. The company is thereby taking a further step towards creating an outstanding platform for geriatric care, new forms of residential living for the elderly and new types of services for people aged 65 and over. „We have set the goal of becoming the most modern provider of services for the elderly.
With this in mind, we want to set new market standards and trends in the areas of nursing, modern accommodations and a full range of services,“ says Marc Hildebrand, CEO of the SCHÖNES LEBEN Group. The services provided by Schönes Leben are not only aimed at people in need of care, Hildebrand emphasizes, but also at older people over 65 who want to lead more active and purposeful lives.
The Gut Köttenich Group is the leader in the regional market
The range of services provided by the Gut Köttenich Group includes inpatient and outpatient care, adult day care and assisted living. Outpatient intensive care and „meals on wheels“ complete the range of services. In previous years, Gut Köttenich has repeatedly succeeded in expanding its leading position in the regional market through innovation. With its extraordinary concepts and range of services in the areas of residential living and outpatient intensive care, the Gut Köttenich Group is a perfect complement to the Schönes Leben Group.
The Gut Köttenich Group operates a total of 14 nursing facilities in the greater Aachen area, the districts of Düren and Euskirchen and in the Rhine-Erft district. In addition, three of these facilities are still under construction and will open by the end of 2019.
Assisted living will be offered at five locations. Those in need of care rent apartments suitable for senior citizens, although the scope of support (e.g. meals, laundry service, etc.) is agreed upon individually. In outpatient intensive care („AKIP“), patients are provided with outpatient respiratory therapy up to and including 24-hour care.
The Gut Köttenich Group also operates its cafés and restaurants as a meeting place for the residents of the nursing facilities, the local community, singles, professionals and other visitors alike.
In addition, the Gut Köttenich Group offers a „meals on wheels“ service, which can deliver meals directly to the customers‘ homes as ordered.
