On 1 August 2019, Thursday, the groundbreaking ceremony for the assisted living facility at the Haus Gunther senior citizens‘ residence in Bürgerholzring 9 was held in Regen. At the same time, the topping-out ceremony for the Haus Gunther senior citizens‘ residence was celebrated. Michael Erl, Managing Director of the ERL Immobiliengruppe, together with representatives from the political and business communities, laid the cornerstone for the assisted living facility after the welcoming speeches by Mayor Ilse Oswald, Deputy District Administrator Helmut Plenk and Monika Nirschl, the Bavarian regional manager of the operating company compassio. Master carpenter Lothar Weber held the topping-out ceremony for the senior citizens‘ residence. The first construction phase will be commissioned by the operating company compassio by the end of 2019. Assisted living will open in the summer of 2020.
In the first construction phase, capacity will be created for the long-term and short-term care of 90 senior citizens. The range of inpatient care will be expanded with the second construction phase. In the immediate vicinity, 33 assisted living units with a floor area of 23 – 77 m² are being built. The 1, 2 and 3-room apartments are barrier-free and have spacious terraces or balconies, some with garden areas. The nursing service is provided by compassio. Due to the proximity to the Haus Gunther senior citizens‘ residence, a wide range of services can be provided, such as participation in the informal lunches held in the restaurant, special events and wellness activities. Outpatient care rounds off the comprehensive range of services. Of course, this outpatient care service is also available for senior citizens in Regen and the surrounding area.
The building contractor of the residential complex is the ERL Immobiliengruppe. This contractor builds all properties primarily using its own companies and ensures high quality construction with its philosophy of „everything from a single source.“
A qualified, interdisciplinary team of employees from the fields of care, nursing and housekeeping looks after the residents. Volunteers support the professionals in organizing day-to-day activities. This ensures a high level of presence in the residential groups and facilitates the provision of a wide range of care. A total of 70 permanent jobs will be created in the senior citizens‘ residence.
